Goldex announces the addition of Seasoned Exploration Geologist Richard Bybee, B.A., P. Geo. To Goldex Exploration Team

August 22, 2005

Vancouver, August 22, 2005 – Goldex Resources Corporation (TSX-V: GDX) (http://www.goldex.ca) is pleased to announce that Richard Bybee has joined its exploration team as Senior Executive Technical Consultant.

Mr. Bybee has over twenty-nine years of experience mineral exploration including Nicaragua, Honduras, New Zealand, Nevada, and Arizona. He has managed and directed multimillion dollar exploration and development programs from inception to reserve development.  He planned and conducted a drilling program which led to the discovery of the 920,000 ounce Cerro Mojon gold deposit in September 1995 in Nicaragua. He has been responsible for up to 28 employees including geologists, field technicians, geographers, drilling assistants, miners, and surveyors.

This major addition to our exploration team along with Clancy Wendt’s recent selection as Director gives Goldex an advantageous position as an emerging exploration company.

Mr. Wendt has over thirty years of experience in worldwide mineral exploration – including Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Alaska, China, Honduras, Peru, and the United States. He has managed and directed multimillion dollar exploration programs for Westmont Mining, Phillips Petroleum, Duval, and Cerro Corporation.  A significant number of discoveries have been made under the guidance of Mr. Wendt. Discoveries include gold, base metals and uranium. He has been directly or indirectly responsible major gold discoveries.

Mr. Wendt is a Registered Professional Geoscientist (P.Geo.) and is registered in the United States and Australia.

We are excited to announce these inclusions to our management team where their expertise and experience in South America and fluency in Spanish will help us move toward the company’s goal of developing and acquiring base and precious metal properties.

Eugene K. Schmidt has officially resigned for the Goldex Team to pursue other activities.
