Goldex Resources Corporation Property Update

Vancouver, B.C., October 11, 2006 Goldex Resources Corporation (TSX-V: GDX, Frankfurt: GT6) is pleased to announce that during September the Company completed a review of its El Pato project located in Guatemala.  The object was to review all of the United Nations geology, sampling, drilling, assaying and resources associated with the project.

This information was used to create new cross sections to mineralized areas and will be used to evaluate previous resource calculations.  This work has allowed the selection of 4 - 5 confirmation drilling sites at the United Nations previously known gold zone which will be drilled during the coming weeks. 

The Company continues to evaluate the property for previously unknown mineralized areas.  New mapping has defined 4 new targets for the upcoming drill program.  Both disseminated and contact mineralization has been discovered in the here-to-fore unexplored areas.  These areas have been sampled and are drill targets for the upcoming drill program.

All of the planned drilling will be based on the work just completed and work announced in previous news releases.  The exploration indicates that the property contains potential for high-grade mineralization and structures as a disseminated system and contact between Granite and overlying quartzites.

We are expecting the drill unit to arrive in Guatemala in approximately 2 – 4 weeks.
